The Squatting Position
The squatting position is typically adopted as a choice of positions on certain practices.
This position is very quick to adopt but can sometimes be difficult to manage as it relies on a good centre of balance.
Use the hovers for more information.

Rules: B6.8, B6.8.1 Squatting:
Buttocks must be clear of the ground; the arms may be rested on the knees.
The rifle may be held as for the sitting position.
A sling may be used for support and if firing from cover, the structure of the cover may be used for supportt
1. Elbows: Lock the elbows inside of the knees to firm up the position.
2. Feet: A reasonably wide stance is recommended to achieve a good balance.
3. Sling: The sling should be tight enough in position so is comfortable but does not pull the firer away from natural alignment.
